Always interested in the “underdeveloped” aspects of materials, Kathy Moskal (co-founder of the late ’70s revolutionary fashion legwear company, HUE; and founder of Verē Chocolate) has recently launched a line of bags made of Tyvek®, a versatile material primarily known for its use in the building trade and FedEx envelopes. Tyvek® is the original non-woven material, boasting many attractive qualities for being lightweight, strong, recyclable, and water resistant. Kathy holds a B.F.A. & M.F.A. from the Yale School of Art & Architecture, and lives in New York City.
