In December of 2002, TABLE TOPICS founder Cristy Clarke was on her way to a Christmas cocktail party thinking of interesting conversation starters to avoid another evening of small talk that went nowhere. Her experiment was a complete success, and by morning, she was writing questions to test on her 3 daughters at their family dinner. The result was TABLE TOPICS Original, a collection of 135 conversation starters packaged in a sleek, acrylic cube designed to spark fun, interesting, and meaningful discussions around the dinner table, at parties, on dates, and on road trips – and everywhere in between. It was an instant hit, and now there are more than a dozen different categories and successful complementary formats to round out the collection, from the popular Gourmet, Family, Girls Night Out and Book Club editions, to the travel-sized Topics To Go and the napkins and placecards in the Party Topics series.
